The service
The Herb Kitchen provides tools for meal logging, nutrition awareness, recipes, pantry and shopping organization, meal planning, and optional AI-assisted drafts. Features may differ by platform, plan, region, release stage, or account eligibility.
Not medical advice
The Herb Kitchen is an educational planning tool, not a medical device or healthcare service. Nutrition estimates, product scores, recommendations, and AI responses do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and are not a substitute for a physician or registered dietitian.
Seek qualified care for allergies, pregnancy, eating disorders, deficiencies, medication interactions, or any medical concern. For urgent or emergency help, contact local emergency services.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that you are authorized to manage any household profile you create.
Do not misuse the service, bypass access or subscription controls, interfere with security, scrape or overload systems, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate others, or use outputs to make automated high-impact health decisions.
Your content and AI-assisted drafts
You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transform that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the services described in the Privacy Policy.
AI features create drafts and suggestions, not guaranteed facts. You must review ingredients, allergens, portions, nutrition values, substitutions, and actions before relying on or saving them. You remain responsible for what you choose to publish or share.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans, pricing, trials, and available capabilities are shown through the applicable app store. Charges, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s terms unless we expressly state otherwise. Deleting The Herb Kitchen does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription; manage cancellation in the store account that made the purchase.
Third-party services and reference data
The service can rely on app stores, AI providers, nutrition databases, product databases, imported websites, and other third-party services. Their availability and content can change. Reference data may be incomplete, community-contributed, or specific to a different product formulation, so verify important information against the current label or a qualified source.
Intellectual property
The Herb Kitchen name, product design, software, and original materials are owned by Ethos Engine Labs LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
Availability, suspension, and termination
Early-access features may change, pause, or be withdrawn. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, comply with law, address security risks, or enforce these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain effective.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Ethos Engine Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations, so these provisions apply only to the extent allowed. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Governing terms and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Connecticut, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. We may update the terms and will identify material revisions by date.
